“He makes me as surefooted as deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.
He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.”
2 Samuel 22:34-35
We believe that God’s promises are timeless—true from the beginning of time to the end! We believe God’s promises are limitless—no circumstance is impossible!
God’s miracles are not limited to time or space, but do we tend to limit His promises to people of a certain age? Over the years, it’s been delightful to witness the shock on children’s faces when Ron tells them, “YOUR prayers are just as powerful as mine!” God would respond according to their faith, not their age!
So, if God’s promises are the same for the young ones, what about those on the other end of the age scale? That is why today’s verse caught my attention—Can God really make my “old” feet as surefooted as deer? Surely, if God knows how to train hands for battle whether they are young and dimpled or old and wrinkled, then HE can also work miracles in feet!
There is only one requirement to experience God’s promises— faith. God longs to fulfill His Word, so He constantly looks for channels. His search does not calculate birthdays, it measures hearts! When God finds a heart full of faith, on THAT person He pours out His promised miracles, no matter what their age!
God’s promises are timeless—the circumstances are limitless.
But I am most grateful that faith is ageless!
