Joshua 23:14
Before Joshua’s death, he admonished the Israelites to serve the Lord alone. If they refused, then they should choose whom you would serve. (24:15) However, BEFORE the call to choose, God reviewed HIS faithfulness over the years, ending with, “It was not your swords or bows that brought you victory. I gave you land you had not worked on…towns you did not build…vineyards you did not plant.” (24:12-13)
Good decision-making involves gathering the evidence first, and that is exactly what GOD did for the Israelites! As they remembered HIS faithfulness, deep in their hearts they KNEW…God had kept every one of His promises!
You may not understand the mess the world is in today, you may have questions, and you may think God does not care. But, you know the Truth you watched your parents live, you know God has never left you, you know He protected you even in your wanderings, you know the security you felt in His presence, you know the miracles you’ve seen that only God could do.
You have been given “land” for which you did not work, houses you did not build, and you have reaped blessings you did not plant! Deep in your heart you KNOW God is real.
So today, choose whom you will serve.
