“And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you.
I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army.
After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!”
Exodus 14:4
Before the children of Israel ever left Egypt, God had a plan in place for their every step. God knew Pharaoh would regret letting his slaves go…He knew Pharaoh would chase after them with all his army…and God knew exactly how HE was going to put an end to this enemy forever!
Of course, God knew about each of these items on the agenda…HE put them there! It was God who said, “I HAVE planned this…” God had not only planned the path His kids would take, but He also planned to harden Pharaoh’s heart so he would chase these freed slaves to his death! There were no details omitted when God wrote the Red Sea Miracle Story, and HE made sure each one of them played out according to HIS script!
Think with me for a moment…this same God who planned miracles in advance for His kids in Exodus, also said He “…saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in His book.” (Ps. 139:16) Doesn’t that mean God has already planned my steps? And doesn’t He know exactly how to take care of every detail of my life?
I can trust the God who wrote my script, and I know HIS scripts always include miracles!
