“…for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”

Fourteen times in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus used the endearing term your Father. As He contrasted how worry dominates the minds of those who don’t know Him, Jesus said YOUR Father, already knows ALL your needs (v 32) Whether emotionally, physically, or spiritually, YOUR Father knows how to take care YOU!
Emotionally, He designed you to need appreciation. But YOUR Father knows everything you do, in private and in public, so why worry about impressing others with your good works? Even if nobody else notices you, YOUR Father sees you and YOUR Father will reward you! (vs. 5-6)
Physically, YOUR Father knows about every need, so why worry about food, clothing, transportation, or a place to live? If YOUR Father takes care of the birds, how much more will He take care of your needs! (vs. 25-32)
Spiritually, YOUR Father knows your greatest need is to connect with Him, so He sent Jesus to make that relationship possible. And each day YOUR Father gives you grace as you give grace to others! (vs. 12, 14)
But most precious of all, YOUR Father knows your heart! (Rom. 8:27) Sometimes it may be full of doubt, sometimes it may be broken, and sometimes it may feel totally overwhelmed. But the Father who knows your heart—holds your heart!
Trust Him—YOUR Father knows!
