“Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”
“Then God said, ‘Let there be a space between the waters…’And that is what happened.”
“Then God said, ‘Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place…’And that is what happened.”
“Then God said, ‘Let the land sprout with vegetation…’And that is what happened.”
“Then God said, ‘Let great lights appear in the sky…’And that is what happened.”

The creation story is full of God’s voice! Over and over we read, “Then God said, ‘Let…’” With that one word, God introduced each day of His amazing creations. But to me, what's even more incredible is, whatever God commanded with His voice, “…THAT is what happened!”
When God speaks, miracles transpire! “Let there be!” from the voice of God the Creator, and the wonders of heaven and earth appeared. “Peace be still!” from the voice of God the Son, and a raging sea became calm. “Your son will live!” and a fever vanished. “Pick up your mat and walk!” and crippled legs stood strong. “Lazarus come forth!” and a dead man walked.
Oh, how we need to hear God’s voice today. Yet, it seems the chaos of our world has almost drowned it out. Or I wonder, could it be, the noise of our own lives has deafened our ears?
God wants us to hear Him—to hear how much He loves us—to hear He still has power to change our lives! Whether you hear God through the notes of a song, the laughter of a child, the beauty of a sunset, or the pages of His Holy Word, please don’t ignore His voice.
When GOD speaks, chaos turns to order and darkness becomes light—
