“This is the account of the families of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the three sons of Noah.
Many children were born to them after the great flood.”

We have no record of Noah’s grandchildren before the flood. But AFTER the great flood, MANY children were born to Noah’s sons. It would be interesting to consider what was transpiring in the lives of these sons in the years leading up to the flood. In other words, these many children were born after what?
-After years of mockery and ridicule, the result of their father’s walk with God
-After being identified with the odd-ball family…their father being the ONLY righteous man on earth!
-After hearing words like, “Your dad is crazy…why do you believe him?”
-After tempting invitations, “Come on...party with us…you’re wasting your time with that old man!”
-After years of hard toil and pain, day after day, while their friends lived the easy life.
-After an entire year of living on a boat, tending thousands of stinky animals.
It was AFTER going through all of that…GOD blessed Noah’s sons with many children!
We can be encouraged by their story: After the greatest floods in our lives or in the Church…after years of laboring with hard sweat and tears…after years of being ridiculed…after years of cleaning up other people’s stinky messes…We will see the largest growth of newborns into His Kingdom!
