“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”

When a chef tastes their pot of food, they often say, “All it needs is salt!” The rich flavors of the ingredients are already there, just waiting for salt to enhance them!
When God created the melting pot of humanity, He intended that the flavors of HIS character would permeate the entire pot. But when we look around today, where is God’s love, His peace, joy, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control? Well, GOD’s plan was that HIS character would be evident through the lives of His kids!
Consequently, Jesus told us, “YOU are the salt of the earth.” Those who house HIS presence—YOU are the salt that enhances HIS flavor on earth! But what happens if the SALT has lost its flavor? What if you only enjoy God’s blessings for yourself, but don’t allow God to develop His character in you? You cannot enhance God’s flavor in your world if HIS flavor is not enhanced in you!
However, if you’re living GOD’s character on this earth, then your life will do what salt does:
--preserve your surroundings and keep them from spoiling,
--bring out the best flavors in everyone around you,
--and make people thirsty for the Living Water inside of you..
In a world that needs GOD more than ever, it’s not the time to be tasteless.
Let’s be the SALT enhances HIS flavor!
