“I Will”

“I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey…I will raise my hand and strike

the Egyptians, performing all kinds of miracles among them. And I will cause the

Egyptians to look favorably on you. They will give you gifts when you go.

So you will not leave empty-handed.”

Exodus 3:17, 20-21

God knew that Moses needed more faith before he could face Pharaoh. That’s why He lovingly pulled back a corner of the curtain and allowed Moses to catch a glimpse of what He planned to do. Each revelation touched a specific need in Moses’ heart.

First, God said, “I will lead you…” so Moses would know God’s personal protection. Next God said, “I will raise my hand and strike the Egyptians…” so Moses would know God’s power. And finally, God said, “I will cause the Egyptians to…give you gifts when you go so you will not leave empty handed…” so Moses would know God’s provision.

What a God Who knows exactly what our fearful hearts need to hear. That’s why He keeps on giving peeks into our future as well…I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand, I will come to you…I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go…I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me.

Even if those were the only promises we ever heard, they contain enough hope to meet every need of our hearts. And God knows exactly which I will you need to hear today!
