“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel…I have filled him with
the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts…
He is a master at every craft. And I have personally appointed Oholiab…to be his assistant.
Moreover, I have given special skill to all the gifted craftsman so they can make all the things I have commanded you to make…”
Exodus 31:1-3, 6
God had a plan from the beginning…RELATIONSHIP. The Tabernacle was the very core of that plan, demonstrating the means to relationship between God and man…Jesus. No wonder God purposefully planned every detail, not only for the Tabernacle’s construction, but for those who would build it!
Notice God said, I have chosen, I have appointed, I have filled, and I have given. Long before the Israelites even knew about a Tabernacle, God HAD already planned to gift EVERY craftsman!
However, the power of this great plan did not lie in the details, but in the Presence of the One who initiated those details. Notice God said, I have filled him with the Spirit of God. The Plan plus God’s Presence equaled Power to do the assigned task. And of course, that Power flowed through the special skill that God had already given!
You are also specifically chosen and personally appointed by God for the tasks that HE has already gifted you to do. Before you were ever born God knew exactly where and how YOU would fit into HIS plan of relationship for all. Notice what God said about Bezalel…he is a master of every craft. Why? Because God had filled him with His Presence and had gifted him with special skill.
You also are skilled and empowered…because it has already been done!
