“Treasures from Darkness”

“Every Israelite woman will ask for articles of silver and gold and fine clothing from her Egyptian neighbors…You will dress your sons and daughters with these, stripping the Egyptians of their wealth.” Exodus 3:22

“All those whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved

came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord.

They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle". Exodus 35:21

The treasures needed to build the Tabernacle could certainly not be found in a desolate wilderness. So way back at the burning bush, God revealed another plan: HE would cause the Egyptians to look with favor on the Israelites, THEY would ask for treasures, and the enemy would be stripped of all its wealth. Then, with those treasures from their dark pit of slavery the Israelites would build a magnificent dwelling for Almighty God!

You may think nothing good could ever come from your darkest pits. But the same God who had plans for the treasures from Egypt, has plans for the treasures from your pain. In deep anguish you too asked for help and God stripped the enemy of what he meant for evil and turned it into treasures for your good! Your Loving Father stood by your side every dark day to instill those treasures from His Word deep in your heart.

Now, notice HOW the Israelite’s treasures were carried out of Egypt…their children wore them! So, share the treasures God gives you in your darkest hours. Dress your children in those truths, so they too can walk out of bondage into freedom. And make sure you never use your God-given treasures to bring attention to yourself. Instead keep building more temples to display GOD’s glory to the world!
